Bush: conservative hatchetman
Bush has said that Jesus is part of his life, and he shows it with his views on homosexuality. Following in the tradition of the bible, which Bush believes to be a pretty good political handbook according to a profile in Vanity Fair, Bush has let his religious background speak for him in his belief that homosexuality is wrong. If Bush is elected homosexuals will have no rights under his presidency, which has been shown in his six year reign as the Governor of Texas.
He basically did whatever he could to keep gays and lesbians of having any rights as Governors, something he is sure to continue if he becomes president. Bush has said that he would not knowingly appoint anyone who is
gay to his administration as president, Unlike his dad who invited openly gay people to the white house, but in return got the boot from the conservative right. Bush has already proven that he will uphold his ban on homosexuals at the White House by not having any openly gay people serve on his administration as Governor.
If things are left up to Bush, same-sex marriage would never become legalized, homosexuals will not be able to adopt children, and homosexuals would not even have hate crime rules apply to them. During his reign in Texas, courts took away a child from a lesbian couple on the basis that homosexuality is against the law in Texas and therefore it would not be beneficial to the child to be in a home with people who did not abide by the law.
